# Economic Model Governance
The AFI token functions as the primary governance mechanism for the AbraFi protocol. AFI holders will exercise decision-making authority over critical protocol parameters and the product roadmap. The economic model incentivizes long-term participation through profit-sharing mechanisms, where a portion of the protocol's generated revenue—derived from staking rewards, funding spreads, and stablecoin yields—is distributed to AFI holders. Initially, a governance council will oversee operations until the transition to a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is finalized.\

AFI tokens will be issued to the community after TGE. A points-based rewards model will be launched for the community. Points will be converted to tokens issued on a vesting schedule designed to incentivize long term investment into the ecosystem.
